COBCOE announced this year's award winners at the Gala Dinner on 11 May at Chartered Accountants' Hall, London, supported by ICAEW, Jaguar Land Rover, The Keswick Enterprises Group, Croatian Fine Wines and Youth Business International.
In addition to the annual Chamber of the Year awards, the first Make Europe Work!® Business Awards were announced. ‘Trade Development in European Markets’ was won by LG Harris & Co Ltdand ‘Breakthrough Trade’ went to Today Translations.
Congratulating the winners, David Thomas MBE, COBCOE Executive Chairman, said, “The Make Europe Work!® Awards are an important extension of our initiative to support increased trade between countries across Europe.”
The awards were presented by Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE DL, who spoke about the need to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses in Europe.

This year, the Chamber of the Year awards have been based on the newly introduced COBCOE Quality Standard programme. The awards are as follows:
The COBCOE Chamber of the Year 2015 Award - British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic
The COBCOE Small Chamber of the Year 2015 Award - British Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic
Excellence in Events Management Award - British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia Excellence in Membership Development Award - British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium Excellence in Trade Development Award - British Polish Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Digital Communications Award - Franco-British Chamber of Commerce & Industry Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award - British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark
Howard Rosen Special Award for Excellence - Nigel Tomlinson, Director, Universal Projects Ltd.
