Howard Rosen, Chairman of the COBCOE Public Affairs Committee (PAC), together with representatives from the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCCL) and Alice Walpole, the British Ambassador to Luxembourg, yesterday met with Pierre Gramegna, Finance Minister of Luxembourg and two of his top ministry officials.

The meeting was held to discuss key issues ahead of Luxembourg’s EU Presidency, which runs from July to December 2015.

A wide range of topics was discussed, including future British membership of the EU, how to make Europe work better and more efficiently, eliminating unnecessary red tape, abolishing internal barriers to the provision of services in the EU, and in particular completing the digital single market, and concluding trade facilitation agreements such as TTIP.

The delegates also discussed the ways in which COBCOE could contribute towards these common objectives and assist the Luxembourg Presidency.
