COBCOE's Public Affairs Commitee 2015-2016 work progam adopted

Over the past few months the PAC has been assessing its future activities in the light of the COBCOE strategic review. The timing has been good in that the UK election this year has blocked us doing much at the UK political level until now.

Attached is our latest work programme, agreed with the COBCOE Chairman, and your steering group has already been active in identifying our key priorities being:

• EU Membership referendum

• EU Presidencies (including UK presidency 2017)

• Interaction with UK Government and Parliament

• Information and communication

We also identified that the “plenary” system we have tried over the past two years has not been very effective so we are looking more at involving PAC members directly in one (or more) of our activities in relation to these priorities.
